CPCS A21 Wheeled Loading Shovel- Experienced

The course is delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical assignments. Delegates will be assessed through a mixture of theory and practical tests.

These will include:

• Undertaking all pre-start, running checks, and shutdown procedures (including mounting and dismounting).
• Explaining precautions to be taken for underground and overhead services and other hazards.
• Preparing and configuring the wheeled loading shovel for site and road travel.
• Placing the machine in an out-of-service condition.
• Carrying out excavations from an embankment of different materials and forming stockpiles and ramps.
• Ensuring load integrity and security.
• Explaining loading/unloading procedures for machine transportation.

All delegates must have successfully passed a CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test, often referred to as the touch screen test, within the past two years.

This course is suitable for operators who have 2+ years of experience.

Delegates must have a good understanding of spoken and written English.

Successful delegates will receive a CPCS Red Trained Operator Card (on successful completion of the CPCS Technical Tests).

Companies that are CITB registered and meet their grant scheme eligibility requirements may be able to claim a short course duration grant. Please contact us for further information.
