Protect your hire with our Damage & Loss Waiver


Accidents and theft can happen on even the best-run sites. Our Damage & Loss Waiver gives you simple, built-in protection for Sunbelt-owned equipment while it’s on hire, so you’re not left covering the full cost of repair or replacement if the unexpected happens. It’s optional and easy to add to any hire, costing just 15% of the equipment hire rate.


The waiver covers most accidental damage, loss and theft during the hire period (subject to terms and exclusions). You’ll still need to take reasonable care of the kit, use competent operators and secure equipment when not in use, but if something goes wrong, there’s a clear process and only a small excess to pay on valid claims.

Routine wear, punctures or mechanical faults aren’t included.

Up to £100,000 per incident, with no single-item cap.
❌ Third-party liability
The waiver only covers Sunbelt-owned equipment.
✅ Tracked equipment
No excess on theft claims when an active tracker is fitted.
❌ Unexplained disappearance
Missing items without a reported incident or police reference.
✅ Coverage across your full hire
Available for a wide range of Sunbelt equipment.
❌ Excluded items
Certain specialist equipment or consumables may not be eligible.
