The Ladder Association Stepladder and Step Stools for Users course will provide delegates with an understanding of how to assess and determine when it’s right to use a stepladder or step stool, how to select and safely use stepladders and step stools, the law and standards, hazards in the use of stepladders and step stools and the safe storage and handling of stepladders and step stools.

In addition, delegates will gain an understanding of when it’s right to inspect a stepladder or step stool, how to carry out a formal inspection, how to record the inspection and any faults, what action to take if faults are identified and how to accurately record details of stepladders and step stools used within the workplace.

The course is delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical assignments. Delegates will be assessed through a mixture of theory and practical tests.
