The Ladder Association Ladders and Stepladders for Managers course will provide delegates with an understanding of current legislation, regulations and guidance affecting work at height with ladders, stepladders and step stools.

It will also provide delegates with an understanding of rescue planning and its importance, the difference between pre-use and formal inspections, the correct way to dispose of unsafe equipment, and the difference between maintenance and repairs (including who can carry them out).

This course is for any delegate responsible for overseeing the work of operatives on site, ensuring that work is properly planned and organised and that those involved in carrying out the work are competent and properly trained. Delegates will also be responsible for ensuring that Ladders, Stepladders and Step Stools are inspected and maintained at all times.

Delegates should have a good working knowledge of the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.

A Ladder Association certificate and LadderCard will be issued to successful delegates who complete the theory and practical assessment sessions at the level they attend the course. This certificate will have a five-year validity period.

Companies who are CITB registered and meet their grant scheme eligibility requirements may be able to claim a short course duration grant. Please contact us for further information.
