Sunbelt Rentals Awarded Albert Accreditation

Albert is a non-for-profit environmental sustainability organisation that aims to encourage those working in TV and Film production to reduce their waste and carbon footprint.

Like many sectors, media production carries a large carbon footprint, beyond the traditional environmental impacts such as travel, use of buildings and energy consumption. Media creators can also influence audiences across the globe, helping their audiences to understand more about what it means to be environmentally sustainable. 

Together, Albert believes that we can work to create a sustainable society that will benefit generations to come. 

Geoff Fawkes, Director of Film and TV commented: “I’m really pleased to hear we’ve met the criteria to be recognised by Albert as a sustainable supplier to the Film and TV industry. Sunbelt Rentals is wholeheartedly committed to innovating change and protecting the planet. When we first heard about Albert, we knew that we had to be involved in some way to support the industry to make those necessary changes.

And, over the last 12 months, we’ve been supporting our customers from various sectors to tackle and drive down their carbon emissions and bridge the ongoing industry skills gap, while supporting local communities through volunteer programmes. Albert accreditation is awarded to productions, suppliers and, more recently, Albert’s studios sustainability scheme.

Sunbelt Rentals has been awarded the accreditation after successfully meeting Albert’s sustainable supplier criteria. For which we had to demonstrate our sustainable solutions in live settings, such as providing sustainable power solutions for location services, supplying LED lighting solutions onset for a popular streaming service, and lastly supplying electric plant for hire to a studio complex.
