Mobile mapping is laser scanning technology at its fastest. Designed to be used while travelling, whether that’s on a boat, in a car or on foot, these instruments scan at a fast rate for accurate results. This method is primarily used to map out cities and roads, but the applications range from canals to historical buildings, to tight spaces where traditional laser scanners would be difficult to implement.
