This City & Guilds course will provide you with the knowledge and practical skills to undertake refrigerant recovery from stationary refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump equipment to meet Category III theoretical and practical requirements.

The course is delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical assignments. Delegates will be assessed through a mixture of theory and practical tests.

Agenda:

  • Cause and effects of ozone depletion
  • Cause and effects of global warming and climate change
  • Hazards and safe working practices for the recovery, storage and transportation of recovered refrigerants
  • Recovery of refrigerant and oil and preparation for disposal
  • Assessments

This two-day course is suited to delegates working within the refrigeration and air-conditioning industry who need to meet the legal requirements for working with fluorinated gases and other ozone-depleting substances.

Following successful completion of the course, delegates' results will be audited by a City & Guilds quality assurance process. On completion, a Level 2 award in F-Gas and ODS Regulations - Category III - City & Guilds 2079-13 certificate will be issued (Please note the quality assurance process may take up to 12 weeks).
