This comprehensive course combines the City & Guilds 2391-50 and 2391-51 into one course and covers in detail the applications of conducting Initial Verification and Periodic Inspections of electrical installations. This course will enable you to demonstrate the knowledge and skills required to conduct inspection and testing of electrical installations per the requirements of Part 6 of BS7671 and the Institution of Engineering Technology's Guidance Note 3 (GN3).

The course is delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical assignments. Delegates will be assessed through a mixture of theory and practical tests.

• Initial Verification
• Periodic Inspection and Testing
• Sequence of tests and testing methods
• Single and Three phase testing
• Theory principles
• Expected results by use of formulas

• Applying observations to BS7671

The course is aimed at practising electricians who wish to obtain a recognised qualification in inspection and testing, including periodic inspection and initial verification. Delegates should already hold an 18th Edition Certificate and be familiar with the IET's GN3. We also strongly recommend delegates have suitable practical experience of testing before attending this course. A BS7671 wiring regulations course and/or a Refresher course prior to attendance would be beneficial.

• Experience as a practicing Electrician.
