SHEA Water Passport

The SHEA Water passport course is a one day Health, Safety and Environmental training scheme for those working on operational sites.

It is developed in collaboration with employers and key stakeholders from across the industry, so the content is relevant – all helping to improve the safety of the workforce and reduce costs associated with injury, illness or accidents.

The SHEA Water Passport course takes a modular approach. This course consists of eight modules, with the first six modules being common to the wider utilities sector and covering the more general health, safety, and environmental topics. The remaining two modules are focused on the UK water industry.

Modules include:

  • Module 1: Understanding our workplace responsibilities
  • Module 2: Understanding the effects of our work on the environment
  • Module 3: Identifying and controlling risks
  • Module 4: Common hazards and controls in the workplace
  • Module 5: Occupational health hazards
  • Module 6: Responding to emergencies
  • Module 20: Clean and waste water operations
  • Module 21: Highway working and excavations (water)

This course is suited to all delegates who require access to operational sites within the water industry, both permanent and temporary, at all levels including operatives, supervisors, and management.

Delegates who successfully pass the course will receive an EUSR card that carries the CSCS logo.

The SHEA Water scheme is partnered with CSCS to allow water industry workers access to construction sites for purposes of utilities work without the need for a separate CSCS card.

Companies who are CITB registered and meet their grant scheme eligibility requirements may be able to claim for a short course duration grant. Please contact us for further information.
