The SPA Petrol Retail Contractors Safety Passport course is designed to educate delegates on health and safety and maintaining a safe working environment. It focuses on risks specific to the petrol retail industry.

  • The Environment

Day 2 Module 1:

  • Types of hazards
      • Fuel hazards
      • Fuel properties
      • DSEAR
      • Restricted areas on a petrol forecourt
      • Hazardous areas
      • Zone classification
      • Delivery hazards
      • Vapour recovery
      • Customer hazards
      • Other hazards
      • Contractor hazards
    • Day 2 Module 2:
    •  
      • Communication
      • Documentation
      • Safety method statements
      • Clearance certificates
      • Permits to work
      • Task classification
This course is a requirement for any delegate that undertakes work at a petrol filling station.

Core Day Exemption

Individuals who have previously attended a nationally recognised health and safety course can apply for an exemption if they meet 80% of the Core Day material.

Successful delegates will receive an SPA Safety Passport photo ID card valid for 3 years.
