THE CHALLENGE
The new vaccination centre is significant to the rollout of the Covid-19 vaccine and has strict timeframes. Thousands of people are expected to visit the site to receive a vaccination and measures need to be in place to reduce the level of transmission and risk of infection. The site also needs to be lit safely and comfortably heated. Taunton & Somerset NHS Foundation Trust sought a supplier that understood the significance of the project and could deliver an effective solution within the timeframe.
THE SOLUTION
Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust selected Sunbelt Rentals Climate Control to supply the heating, lighting and air disinfectant equipment for this site.
Sunbelt Rentals first conducted a site survey to assess the scale of the site, which helped them to design a solution uniquely tailored to the environment. As well as supplying heating and lighting, the team recommended the S400 air disinfectant device as an additional measure to keep both staff and patients safe. The S400 works by eliminating up to 99.9995% of airborne viruses, which greatly reduces the risk of staff and patients catching infections including Covid-19. Additionally, anyone who walked through the doors would be reassured that every step has been taken to make the environment as safe as possible.
THE RESULTS
External lighting, heating and S400 air disinfectant devices were installed within the time frame and the site is ready to administer 1600 vaccines a day.
We needed a heating, lighting and air purifying system quickly as part of the set-up of our community Covid 19 vaccination site. From the first phone call, Dean from Sunbelt was extremely helpful, and able to provide a range of solutions in the time required. Where follow-up visits and advice was required, these were provided promptly, and we were able to open on time with a patient environment that was safe and comfortable.
