Behind the Scenes with Sunbelt Rentals on the Sony Production: The Wingman

Tipping its hat to Claudio Miranda ASC ACC, who shot Top Gun: Maverick, The Wingman showcases the newest camera in Sony’s Cinema Line, the Burano. The production premiered at Poland’s International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography, Camerimage in November 2023, presenting the new camera and stylised film to the dedicated film and television audience.

Sunbelt Rentals supported this pioneering production, which was shot across three days in two airfield locations in the Southwest, by providing a full range of specialist Film and TV equipment including cameras, grip, powered access and lighting.

Damian Anderson, The Wingman producer said:

“Shooting this production has been quite a fantastic challenge with the combination of stunt planes, vintage vehicles and number of cameras. Because of this, it’s very important to get all of the equipment through one company and Sunbelt Rentals have been absolutely fantastic on this production.

They’ve provided us with all the equipment we needed to produce this film, from camera accessories to grip equipment and power, which has covered all areas and this has been extremely beneficial for us.
