EUSR Electro Fusion Welding

This Electro Fusion Welding course is designed to guide operators and supervisors to deliver the best and safe practices for electrofusion welding techniques. The course provides individuals with the knowledge and skills to join pipework from 20mm up to 710mm trunk mains with electro fusion couplers in a ductile manner and to understand what creates brittle joints and service failures. 

The course is delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical assignments. Delegates will be assessed through a mixture of theory and practical tests. 

These will include: 

  • Identifying the most relevant equipment, pipe, and fittings (Couplers, Branch/Tapping Tees).  
  • Completing pre-checks on pipe and equipment.  
  • Providing an understanding and demonstrating safe practice.  
  • Understanding and displaying industry best practices/ techniques for electrofusion welding.  
  • Inspecting joints for quality assurance.  

This course is designed for operators and supervisors who wish to gain knowledge, experience and a formal qualification in electro fusion welding techniques. Delegates possessing little to no experience will likely require a 2-day course. Experienced welders seeking certification or a refresher qualification may complete the course in 1 day.

Delegates must have basic spoken and written English skills.

Successful delegates will receive a certificate and an EUSR ID card.
