Impact Moling Operator Training
This course is designed to provide operators with the knowledge to fully understand the requirements of moling and trenchless technologies, including understanding how to tackle underground installation projects without the need to dig trenches, an awareness of potential hazards, and the avoidance of risk from other underground services.
The course is delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical assignments. Delegates will be assessed through a mixture of theory and practical tests.
These will include:
- Understanding the basics of impact moles (i.e. what a mole is and how it operates) and best practices to undertake moling operations
- Identify relevant techniques and equipment
- Safe practice, risk assessment and current standards
- Comprehend the dangers of potential hazards and the importance of avoiding underground services
- Information on completing pre-checks on equipment
- Carrying out boring operations
- Understand the importance of direct towing of PVC / PE ducts and pipes
- Trouble shooting and maintenance issues
This course is suited to delegates who want to become qualified to operate in Impact Moles in order to safely complete underground projects without the need to dig trenches: reducing risk and completing underground installation projects efficiently.
Successful delegates will receive an EUSR photo ID card.
