Water Jetting Association Safety Awareness and Drain & Sewer
The Water Jetting Association Safety Awareness and Drains & Sewer course is designed to provide operatives and supervisors with safe working knowledge of high-pressure water. It covers all critical areas of water jetting usage and safety, including identifying the hazards of high-pressure water jetting, pre-work checks, risk assessment and use of personal protective equipment.
The Drain & Sewer module gives a wider appreciation of the usage of water jetting and drainage equipment. It includes a practical session giving delegates 'hands-on' experience using the equipment effectively and safely when cleaning drains, sewers, pipes, and other similar applications.
The course is delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical assignments. Delegates will be assessed through a mixture of theory and practical tests.

- Jetting equipment - pressure controls
- Jetting equipment - high-pressure hoses
- Water jetting hazards
- Water jetting injuries

- Operation procedures
- Practical exercises
- Test
This course is suited to delegates who are at least 18 years old and operate high-pressure water jetting machines and wish to gain a greater appreciation of how to use the equipment safely, particularly when working in and around drains and sewers.
Successful delegates will receive a WJA certificate and ID card (City & Guilds accredited) valid for 3 years upon completion of the course.
