The Challenge

The highly contagious COVID-19 Virus sets the UK on high alert.

As essential workers, NHS staff require adequate protection from the virus and to protect their patients.

In April 2020, Oxford University Hospital trust contacted Sunbelt Rentals to supply Face Fit Testing for over 6000 staff.

Objective

To improve the effectiveness of PPE, ensuring face masks fit the wearers face.

Solution

We sent 15 qualified Face Fit Testing technicians to conduct Face Fit Tests at four Oxfordshire hospitals:

  • John Radcliffe Hospital
  • Horton Hospital
  • Church Hill Hospital

Our technicians are accredited by the Fit2Fit Government scheme and performed over 6000 tests in 20 weeks. We will continue to have a team-based there until Christmas 2020 supporting the front line staff.
