Live music event magazine celebrates Sunbelt’s eco approach

Sunbelt Rentals has been shortlisted by IQ Magazine as a Class of 2022 ‘Green Guardian’.

IQ Magazine – a leading news platform for the live music business – uses its Green Guardian series to spotlight the suppliers, performers and initiatives helping live events become greener.

2022 judges have praised Sunbelt Rentals’ holistic approach to sustainability and shortlisted us for the Class of 2022 thanks to our ongoing environmental commitments.

Our dedication to sustainability is ever growing, and we’re always pleased to have it recognised and celebrated in such a way.

When it comes to live music events - you can leave the how to us. From the first Glastonbury Festival in 1971 to this summer’s sold out Creamfields events, we've managed thousands of music events of all sizes over the years, all with the same commitment to safety and sustainability.

As the biggest temporary infrastructure solutions supplier in the UK, we offer countless green options for the live event sector:

  • Sustainable Sunbelt solutions include using Stage V Generators, utilising the latest technology to improve air quality by reducing CO2 emissions, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter.
  • Continuing investment in the newest and most innovative equipment – including 2,100 new JCB machines which represents JCB’s biggest ever order from a UK customer in its 75-year history.
  • Battery storage units, which can be installed alongside a fuel-powered generator or mains connection to offer periods of silent power, significantly reducing fuel consumption.
  • Our range of electric-powered access equipment has expanded over recent years for use both indoors and outdoors. The results have been incredible with electric, hybrid, and fuel electric models now able to run on HVO to bring emissions down by up to 90 percent.
  • Solar lights can be added among other lighting such as way markers to significantly reduce running costs.
  • Event organisers can also specify electric and hybrid scissor lifts along with electric vertical masts.

We’re delighted to offer countless sustainable and renewable options for the sector, without compromising on performance, and we’re proud to have been shortlisted by IQ Magazine as Green Guardian for 2022.
